My Creative Process

My creative process is an exploration of depth, texture, and transformation, where every layer becomes part of a larger story.
 

I begin by creating intuitive abstract paintings, hand-painted papers and collages, allowing color, gesture, movement, and emotion to guide the initial marks. I don't necessarily see these paintings as finished works. Instead, they often become the raw material for something new.
 

I cut every shape by hand. For many of my forms, I create my own cardboard templates, refining each shape before tracing it onto painted paper and hand-cutting the pieces one by one.  Through cutting, layering, gluing, and rearranging, I transform fragments of paintings and painted papers into new compositions, allowing unexpected relationships, forms, and textures to emerge. I often move pieces around again and again before I know where they belong. The process is intuitive, physical, and playful—and I genuinely love it. There is something about cutting, gluing, and rearranging that brings me back to the simple joy of making things as a child.
 

Many of my works also incorporate fragments from earlier paintings. Rather than discarding artwork that no longer feels complete, I reuse and transform it, giving those pieces another life within a new composition. In this way, the idea of transformation is present not only in what the work represents, but in the very materials and process from which it is made.
 

My work evolves through multiple stages: painting, cutting apart, layering, altering, and carefully reassembling. I rarely know exactly where a piece will end when I begin. I am interested in what can happen when I let go of the original form and allow the fragments to become something unexpected.
 

Guided by a multidisciplinary perspective, I draw inspiration from nature, memory, sacred geometry, and the patterns of living systems. I am continually exploring the space between structure and spontaneity, intention and discovery, destruction and creation.
 

For me, making art is an act of transformation—taking what already exists, seeing new possibilities within it, and giving it another life.

Finishing & Preservation
Every completed work is finished with an archival clear UV-protective coating designed to help protect the surface from UV exposure and preserve the artwork over time.
