Fragments  - An exploration of separation, connection, and the beauty of what remains.

Fragments explores the beauty and possibility found in what remains. Each small work begins as part of a larger creative process—painted, marked, and transformed before being separated from the whole. Rather than discarding these pieces, I see them as opportunities for something new to emerge.

I create my own cardboard templates for many of the forms, then trace and hand-cut each piece before mounting the fragments onto slightly smaller pieces of foam to create concealed dimensional layers. The elements are then carefully arranged, layered, and assembled into new compositions, creating a subtle floating effect and a sense of depth.  Color, texture, movement, and memory come together in unexpected ways, allowing each fragment to develop its own identity while still carrying traces of where it came from.

Some works are quiet and atmospheric; others are bold and energetic. Together, they suggest that something does not have to remain whole to have meaning. A fragment can carry its own history while also hinting at something larger beyond itself.

Presented individually within shadow-box frames or on painted cradled birch wood panels, these intimate works invite close viewing. Their small scale encourages the viewer to slow down and notice the details—the edges, layers, textures, marks, and unexpected relationships between forms.

Fragments is an exploration of separation and connection, individuality and belonging, and the possibility of creating something new from what remains.

All artwork is presented in open shadow-box frames, intentionally designed to reveal the dimensionality of the work. The space within the frame allows light to create natural shadows, emphasizing the layers, depth, and movement of each piece.  Each completed work is finished with an archival clear UV-protective coating to help protect the surface and preserve the artwork over time and is ready to display.  All prices include applicable sales tax.   Custom works can also be created to suit specific color palettes, dimensions, and layout designs.
