Sacred Forms - An exploration of connection, transformation, and the geometry of nature.
 

Throughout history, sacred geometry has revealed patterns found throughout the natural world—from the unfolding of flowers and shells to the growth of living organisms and the relationships that connect all life. In Sacred Forms, these timeless geometric forms become a framework for exploring connection, transformation, and emergence.
 

Inspired by the Vesica Piscis, Seed of Life, Egg of Life, and Flower of Life, each composition begins with hand-painted papers layered with color, texture, and expressive mark-making. I create my own cardboard templates for the individual forms, refining each shape before tracing and hand-cutting the pieces one by one.
 

The hand-cut forms are mounted onto slightly smaller pieces of foam, creating concealed dimensional layers that give each element a subtle floating quality. The forms are then carefully arranged and assembled into sculptural reliefs. Some works are presented in deep shadow box frames, where light and shadow become part of the composition, while others are constructed on cradled birch panels, allowing the layered forms to extend into the surrounding space.

Like Reconstructed, these works explore the act of rebuilding. Simple forms combine to create increasingly complex relationships, reflecting the way individual elements in nature come together to create larger, interconnected systems.
 

By cutting, layering, and reconstructing painted surfaces, I invite viewers to notice the relationships between the individual parts and the whole. My hope is that each work offers a quiet moment of reflection—a reminder that connection does not require sameness, and that beauty can emerge when separate fragments come together to create something greater than themselves.
 

All artwork is presented in open shadow-box frames, intentionally designed to reveal the dimensionality of the work. The space within the frame allows light to create natural shadows, emphasizing the layers, depth, and movement of each piece.  Each completed work is finished with an archival clear UV-protective coating to help protect the surface and preserve the artwork over time and is ready to display.  All prices include applicable sales tax.   Custom works can also be created to suit specific color palettes, dimensions, and layout designs.
